Stephanie Pratt Defends Speidi, Role Model Status

Spencer Pratt and wife Heidi Montag have been in the news lately, conducting a personal stress test on the theory that any publicity is good publicity.

Between Heidi Montag’s plastic surgery, Spencer’s Twitter outbursts at Audrina Patridge, Kate Hudson and others, his involuntary Hills leave, and her sexual harassment the show’s creator, it’s been a whirlwind of bad PR.

But Stephanie Pratt thinks you can still look up to Speidi.

“I think we’ve all grown up,” she said of her co-stars and family members at Thursday’s Hot Hollywood party at Drai’s Hollywood inside the W Hollywood.

“The problem is that anything bad we do is so magnified,” explained younger Pratt. “We all do a pretty good job of being OK role models for everyone.”

To Stephanie Pratt, Speidi still meets role model criteria.

Of the couple’s alleged sexual harassment suit against Adam DiVello, which they later jettisoned, she said, “I really stay out of it. I don’t know what’s going on.”

In January, the younger Pratt had some role model setbacks of her own after she was sentenced to three years of probation following her October 2009 DUI.

Her own physical appearance has also transformed dramatically of late.

“Thank god for being on the show,” she said. “Because it really has helped my style and appearance.” Oh yes, it’s totally been a good thing, absolutely.

Big Brother Bum: Matt McDonald Busted For Assault on Pregnant Girlfriend

Matt McDonald, a memorable contestant from Season 9 of the hit CBS reality series Big Brother, was arrested for allegedly beating his pregnant girlfriend.

The Boston District Attorney’s Office says Matt McDonald was taken into custody Sunday around 3:30 p.m. after an ugly spat over allegations of infidelity.

The self-proclaimed “biggest liar/sweet talker” on the show was charged with assault and battery and aggravated assault and battery … a serious charge.

This is because the victim is eight weeks pregnant.

According to the police, Matt and his baby mama got into an argument “over a text message on her cell phone the victim received from an old friend.”

At that point, “the suspect accused the victim of cheating on her, attacking the victim by grabbing her arms, dragging her into a different room and strangling the victim stating ‘I hope the baby dies and hope u [sic] have a miscarriage.” Wow.

BIG (BROTHER) HOUSE: Matt McDonald could be sequestered for awhile.

The next day, the woman alleges, the former Big Brother houseguest returned from the store and accused her of pouring water on his plasma TV, breaking it.

McDonald then kicked her in the collarbone while she was sitting, then put her in a headlock and punched her in the arms, per the report. And it gets worse.

The victim claimed he later phoned her father, at which point she screamed for help, prompting Matt to shout, “Shut the f–k up or I’ll punch you in the face.”

She also contends McDonald threatened to off her dad if he called the cops.

It was then she ran out of the apartment and sought out police, who observed bruises and red marks on her collarbone, neck and arms, according to reports.

McDonald has pleaded not guilty. Interesting side note – that season of BB was won by Adam Jasinski, who was recently busted for running a drug ring.
